A. The 10 billion organisms per daily dose as found in St. Francis Herb Farm’s GoProbiotics is an excellent quality maintenance dosage of superior probiotic bacteria. If an individual is in a more acute need, as is the case in antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, for example, the daily dosage can be doubled to 20 billion microorganisms per day. Some large-count probiotic products on the market carry many strains of bacteria, but with these products there is not enough of any one strain to accomplish the desired goal; that is why we only use five strains at higher volumes to provide a higher opportunity for each strain to attach and culture in the intestinal tract.
